Homilies

The introduction to the Primitive Constitutions of the Order of Preachers stated clearly that the Order “is known to have been established, from the beginning, for preaching and the salvation of souls, specifically.” Each of our priories are referred to by our constitutions as a holy preaching, and so the life of each individual friar should, in its own small way, be a holy preaching. The mission of salvation begins with each friar himself, and then extends universally, as they proclaim salvation to all they encounter.

Preaching is an integral part of our ministry here at Blackfriars, with our daily Masses each having a homily, and our student brothers trained in preaching through their ministry on Godzdogz.
