Mass and Service Times

Be assiduous in prayer at the appointed hours and times…When you pray to God in psalms and hymns let the words you utter be pondered in your hearts.

(St Augustine, Rule, 2.1 and 3)

All are welcome to join the Dominican community for Mass and the Divine Office, which are celebrated publicly every day.

Sundays

8am – Conventual Mass – a sung Mass with the Dominican community. For the moment this Mass will continue to be livestreamed.

9am – Lauds.

9.30am – Family Mass – a more informal liturgy for those with children. Over the coming months we will be working with members of the congregation to bring back singing and childrens’ liturgy.

1.05pm – Midday Office – Office of Readings and Midday Prayer.

5.30pm – Vespers.

6pm – Low Mass.

Monday – Friday

7.05am – Lauds.

7.30am – Conventual Mass – a sung Mass with the Dominican community. For the moment this Mass will continue to be livestreamed.

1.05pm – Midday Office – Office of Readings and Midday Prayer.

6pm – Low Mass.

6.45pm – Vespers.

Saturdays

8.05am – Lauds.

8.30am – Conventual Mass – a sung Mass with the Dominican community. For the moment this Mass will continue to be livestreamed.

6pm – Vigil Mass of the Sunday.

6.45pm – First Vespers of Sunday.

Holy Days of Obligation

Masses are said at the usual times for weekday Masses. See above.

Livestream

For those unable to attend public Masses the friars will continue to livestream their Conventual Mass. Find out more.

Confessions

Confession is available at 12.30pm and 5.30pm on Saturdays in the church, or enquire at the Porter’s Lodge at other times.
