Urgent Prayer Request from the Prior

Dear Friends,

I hope you are keeping safe and well. I’m writing to let you know that our beloved brother David Sanders is very unwell at the moment.

Many of you will know that David has been undergoing chemotherapy for some months to help treat a myeloma, a treatable blood cancer. He finished his treatment just over a week ago, but that treatment has taken its toll on his strength and his immune system.

Yesterday morning he was admitted to hospital with an underlying infection, with the possibility that it might be coronavirus. He is receiving good care from the medical team, but the prognosis is not good. The next 48hrs will be critical.

I know that many of you are very fond of David, and have appreciated his kindness, his preaching and teaching, and will share in our concern about his condition. But you will also know him to be a man of great faith, and so I ask you to pray for him at this time, just as he would wish, that the Lord may be near to him, heal and strengthen him.
